Review: Dark Shadows (2012)

Yesterday I was at the Cinema with some friends, watched Dark Shadows. And here follows my review of the movie… (If you don’t want anyone to spoil it for you, don’t read this)

Maybe not one of Mr. Burtons most dedicated works, but the movie was a very good movie. I’m not a big fan of vampire movies - But this one was the best vampire movie I’ve seen so far. The soundtrack was great, every scene had the right music. The movie itself is dark but despite that the movie is a great comedy roll. Recommending it to people who aren’t to famished with McDonalds (There’s a reference in the movie where Barnabos (Johnny Depp) mixes up the McDonalds M-logo with Mefistofefels - The devils real name.)

The storyline was very good, I’ve read some reviews where the say that they’ve crammed in to much into 2hrs. But I thought it was kinda balanced, for being in a coffin for 2 centuries and then waking up. Of course there has to be many background references and things to remember through-out the movie.
And a fact that you might know is that the movie is based on a TV series that was aired in the 70’s, under the same name.

Giving it 8/10 ChimPoints

Cinemas today, with Dark Shadows on screens
